Right off the bat, this beer tells you that "you're not worthy" while Satan himself laughs at you while holding a pint of beer in his hand. Could this possibly be the most badass beer label on the planet? Stone Brewing sure know how to make a great print, but as I found out, they also know how to make a great American Strong Ale.
A very dark copper body and rocky off-white head with lacing that doesn't want to leave the glass. Aromas were very sweet and fruity with strong hints of caramel. The sweetness and caramel was present in the flavor as well with undertones of coffee complementary with a mild bitter aftertaste. It packs quite a punch and tastes slightly stronger than it is (7.2%). Being a heavy and flavorful beer, I would not have more than two of these bastards per night.
